Mexican – Cocina Y Cantina – Authentic Mexican – – located right at the Hacienda Beach Club it is currently rated #1 on Trip Advisor. All tables have ocean views and the food is over the top. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Reservations recommended.

Italian - DOC Wine Bar – Authentic Italian – This restaurant is one of our favorites and is small and quaint. Try their salt encrusted whole fish, it’s delicious. If you like spicy, try their DOC pasta (a carbonera sauce with habanero peppers). Reservations are a must!

Italian – Romeo & Julietas- - has a beautiful outdoor courtyard with live music most nights. Located at the entrance to Pedregal. This restaurant has been here for 30 years. The service is excellent also. Reservations recommended.

Italian – Alcaravea – the restaurant is a little tough to find but well worth it. It is quaint and Enrique, the chef and owner trained in Little Italy in Toronto so the food is very authentic. It is also inexpensive! Don’t be too alarmed that the menu doesn’t have any prices, all entrees come with either soup or salad to start and prices range from $15-$20. They have a small fee for corkage so feel free to bring your favorite wine with you. Reservations recommended.

Italian - La Dolce - great restaurant for families and people looking for casual Italian food. Their wood-fire oven turns out great thin crust pizza. Have a special favorite that you don’t see on the menu, they’ll make anything you ask for. Reservations recommended.

Sushi - Nick San - - is the best sushi you will ever have. They have very unique rolls and their sauces are delicious. If you like sushi you will love Nick San. The restaurant is lively & if you sit at the sushi bar the chefs are very interactive with you. For the non-sushi guests, there are great alternatives. Reservations recommended.

Sushi – Koi Sushi – a new restaurant that just opened up at the Walmart Mall food court, Prices are about half of what Nick San is, and equally as good. Try it!

Mexican - Edith’s - - is a must while you are in Cabo. It is a short walk from the beach and is a wonderful dining experience. The food is an excellent mixture of fresh seafood, steaks, mexican dishes...there is something on the menu for everyone. It is a gorgeous setting & the atmosphere is festive and lively. Reservations definitely recommended. Ask to be seated below the palapa on the other side of the bar.

Mexican - The Office - - is owned by Edith (above) and is on Medano Beach. The tables are right on the sand under umbrellas. They serve excellent food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We love breakfast there or go for lunch and stay all day drinking their delicious margaritas. They have live music every evening from 7-10pm and a Mexican Fiesta on Thursday nights. Happy Hour (2 for 1) is everyday from 3-5pm. They have music most nights usually a mix of smooth jazz and oldies, Reservations HIGHLY recommended.

Upscale Mexican - El Restaurante at Esperanza – Hotel Esperanza is just outside of Cabo on the corridor and is a gorgeous resort. The tables are set out over the rocks and the waves crash in below. It is truly stunning. A little heavy on the pocketbook (entrees are between $30 and $45) but well worth it. Enjoy a cocktail before or after dinner in their lounge area, El Bar, it has a beautiful fire pit and live music. You might even catch a glimpse of a movie star as it tends to be a destination for the stars. You must reservations for access to the property.

Ruth Chris Steakhouse - - although this is a chain restaurant, you can't beat this Ruth Chris because of the location and views. If you love their steaks you will love this even more. The restaurant sits right on the marina with an outdoor seating area overlooking the boats. It is lovely!
